Jon has been busily engaged with the hectic life of a resident during his intern year as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Loma Linda University Medical Center Only another half decade to go! He works the equivalent of two full time jobs, but is very thankful to be able to do what he feels called to. He has also taken up mountain biking and has a new zest for life beyond the hospital.
Erin is still teaching and enjoying her 5th graders at Smiley Elementary in Redlands. She loves going to work everyday and enjoys the challenge teaching continually presents.
We were blessed with the amazing opportunity to buy a house in August, and are loving being homeowners! God has amazed us with his abundant blessings, and we pinch ourselves everyday that we live here. God really does enjoy blowing his kids socks off with good...make that unbelievable gifts. It's more than we could've ever hoped for in a first home!
We currently have two very adorable and furry children. Our eldest dog is Samson, a 2 year old Rottweiler who takes after his father: ruggedly handsome, physically impressive, mildly grumpyat times, and fiercely loyal. We love him, and he protects us and our home. Our younger daughter puppy is Delilah, an American bulldog who takes after her mother: very loving and snuggly, indecisive, persistent, and at times quite sassy. She is our little love bug, and is keeping Erin satisfied until our little ones arrive (there are no buns in the oven as of yet, by the way).
God has blessed us tremendously, and we have not been in want. We look forward to seeing what unfolds in our lives in 2009, and will do our best to keep you updated. Until then, may God richly bless you and have a Happy New Year!

A friend of mine always prays, "Lord, bless their socks off." He is faithful to always do just that...even in th difficult spots, He blesses us by showing us more of Himself. Love you! I know God will continue to bless your socks off!
